@DarkMoon I actually believe it was. It came after Pompeo's remarks and is all part of the plan cooked up between the Saudis , Israel and Kushner. It's the one thing they do seem to be thinking strategically about , notwithstanding the fact that strategy is both misguided and incredibly dangerous.

@RodionRomanovitch It came in response to a domestic speech by the Iranian president suggesting peace would be great, but war will be just as earth shaking.

@Graylight I think it's Trump in his usual basic frame of 'mind'. He lashes out to get everyone to look at the shiny thing to steer away from (in this case) the very pointed questions about just what he had to speak to Putin about for two hours but can't even tell his closest security advisers.

@lorne13 On that point it's a terrible invidious position to put the translator into. Who would think that in 2018, it comes down to having to ask the translator to the POTUS what was said because the POTUS looks suspiciously like he's in the thrall of an adversary? 😞

The Republicans have to know how bad this makes them look, being tarred with Trumps Brush.. And Trump has no conceivable excuse for this. He was hired as President to represent the American people, and not even his inside people cant know what they talked about? The guy is guilty of something he doesn't want known.. That's really all there is to it.@lorne13
