@Stargate Pherick is absolutely correct. The states with the greatest number of registered Republicans also have the highest number of citizens on social welfare programs. Incidentally, they also have the lowest education levels.

If I had to guess, I'd say you're in one of them.

@Graylight And even aside from welfare, red states just can’t seem to figure out how to pay for themselves. Even Texas still sucks at the federal teat.

Conservatives talk a lot of shit on California and NY, but those states actually pull their own weight, and pay into the system, not just take.
