Hmmmmmm, let me see. I am going to think long and hard about this one right here.
Even though the gas prices are high, the economy for the most part is still doing fairly
well. I see there has been some setbacks though with the ports in the US with these
stupid tariff wars with China. I heard this is only the beginning. All of your oil based products will go up soon. So as of today I am going to give Trump just a 6.8 for trying.
But he needs to stop the underhanded nonsense and the petty bickering. What do you think ?

11 the economy is better than fair its excellent. There is no trade wars. The US has been paying China and Canada outrageous tariffs for decades. Trump is simply saying no more. You charge us tariffs we charge you tariffs. Should have been done a long time ago. It’s going to help us not hurt us. Those other countries want a say but they don’t want to pay. We don’t need them but they need us. Nothing underhanded about it. He’s no puppet he’s the real thing. OPEC is to blame for high price oil. And Iran nonsense. And the price gouging in America. Someone farts and gas goes up 30 seconds later. Increase production and it takes at least two weeks to go down a smedge. They blame it on demand. Trump needs to do something about that.

@gregloa This is false. We are already seeing the results of these trade wars with China. Now the foreign car plants are complaining about having to pay more for these exports. Some have said they may have to lay off some workers in the future because of these new laws. And you have the situation with Harley Davidson. And you have the mess with the Mexican immigrants. And still you have the gas prices over 3 bucks in many places here in the US. Its not good. ☺

@Zonuss One thing I will in his (sort-of) defense is that for years I have heard, both when gas prices are high and when they are low, that the president doesn't have much influence over them.

@Zonuss it has to get a little worse before it can get better. Gas is down almost 20 cents where I live because Trump talked opec into raising production. Obama left the immigrat mess for Trump. Harley screwed their self. Stupid move. Trump is doing something about all these problems he inherited from Obama. It’s a mess it’s going to take some time and some aggression to fix it. He’s not going to sweep it under the rug for fear of any election. It’s about time N Korea understands no more nuks. Same goes for Iran. That is a fact

@gregloa No. America was great before Trump got into the picture. The tourism business has been down this year because of Trumptard. The airlines raised their prices of on tickets and hotels increased reservation rates. Hotel room prices are also up too of course. Your cooking oils and soaps and household cleaning products are also up. Stamp prices are going up again. The taxes on imports and exports are because of the friction between the US and its allies.
Trump is making a mess of things that were already established. In other words he is like a wrecking ball, and is breaking down bridges instead of maintaining them.
And the deal with North Korea was a buy out and nothing more. It will not last for good. ☺

@Zonuss I didn’t say the price of gas was disconnected from politics, I said the President specifically doesn’t have much impact on them. The people he appoints to relevant agencies and regulations and import laws passed by Congress however, still do.
