It holds more than one fifth of US foreign debts. Fortunately US is financed mainly from its internal market, but this doesn't mean, that it's not a problem, or not risky to have such a creditor like China...

We keep running deficits even in solid economic weather, and nobody is doing anything about that at all. Hell, the recent tax cut made the situation worse.
