But because President Trump nominated him?

Uh yes, as sure as the sun rose in the east this morning. But make no mistake, it's not about abortion, it's about the court not being in the left's hands so they can legislate from the bench because they can't win in the court of public opinion. They've been claiming repubs were going to overturn Roe since 1974. I'm actually surprised anyone is dumb enough to believe their drivel.
