What are your thoughts regarding the primary defeat of the fourth ranking congressman to a Sanders supporter

My though is that the democrats are in such disarray that the midterms will swing the republicans way and that should Mrs Pelosi retain her seat the Dems keeping Mrs Pelosi and Cryng Chuck on as leaders will result in 2020 republican victory across the board.

I believe this is a localized event. The district is extremely progressive, with a lot of different minority (as measured by the national stats) voters. It is not representative of the nation.

@jackjjackson He's a 10 term guy, right? He's used to the political machine handing him money and votes. Lots of other dinosaurs like him out there. He's not going to see it.

It reminds me of my first job interview, more than 35 years ago. After the interview with the department head, I asked him a question, and his answer "I don't need to know this, I make $50K per year", which was a lot of dough for the time. This convinced me not to take the job, and that his days are numbered, not that he knew it.
