An organizer of last year's deadly white supremacist rally in Virginia has been granted initial approval to host another rally in August, this time in the heart of the nation's capital.

The National Park Service says it has approved an application for a 'Unite the Right' anniversary rally to be held in front of the White House at Lafayette Square on August 11-12, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Organizer Jason Kessler's application describes the event as a 'white civil rights' rally, and says he expects about 400 people to attend.

For someone who claims to be an independent thinker you sure spend a lot of time promoting left wing propaganda.
UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster What propaganda are you seeing?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@UpsideOutInsideDown Um
"White Supremacist rally"
"Why don't they go to nuremburg for the rallies instead"
UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster Well one of those is basically fact at this point, unless you can refute the white supremacy part? And for the second, what does that have to do with left wing? Being anti-far right doesn't automatically equal left

@SumKindaMunster

You left out "That's Where They Belong."

@UpsideOutInsideDown

It is? It's factual? What facts can you point to that prove that?

Why do I need to refute that? It's refuted in the article itself when the organizer claims it is a white civil rights rally. You disagree? Why?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@beckyromero It wasn't really necessary considering your whole post is derogatory and discriminatory.
UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster So a white supremacist organises a "White Civil Rights" rally for his white supremacy organisation, but because they claim it's a civil rights thing, that's good enough for you? Jesus Christ, I pity people like you
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@UpsideOutInsideDown I noticed you didn't answer either of my questions. Why is that? Can you point to facts that prove this is a "white supremacist" rally?

And yes it is good enough for me that they claim they are exercising their civil rights. That's because they are.

Just because I don't share their beliefs doesn't mean I can't support their right to express such beliefs. I don't agree with a lot of activists but I wouldn't tell them they didn't have the right to express their opinions.

@SumKindaMunster
I wouldn't tell them they didn't have the right to express their opinions.

Well, I didn't say they "didn't have the right to express their opinions."

I merely suggested they express them in NUREMBERG!

UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster I'm really not sure how to respond to something so dumb...I explained to you...or do you need an article that openly states "These white supremacists going for a white rally are really going for a white supremacist rally, but don't tell anyone because they're ashamed of what they are"? Are you unable to put two and two together and decide if you it actually equals four without confirmation from a source you trust?

And I couldn't give two shits about what they claim, what they do, or who they are. Great for them to protest and spread whatever bullshit the idiots who need it will end up eating up. But at the same time, good for the dude who posted this, because they don't agree with them...or do these liberties only work one way?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@UpsideOutInsideDown
I'm really not sure how to respond to something

It's because you can't. You are so enslaved to orthodoxy you don't know how to respond when someone questions your beliefs. To you you "just know" what you believe is true. You experience cognitive dissonance when someone challenges your faith and instead of truly questioning your beliefs you attack the agitator who caused your brain to break.

I have found it so telling that people like you scream about Nazis while you embody the behavior of fascists. You realize that right? By demonizing these people and claiming they don't have the right to express their opinions, falsely labeling them, doxxing them, and attacking them physically YOU are acting like fascists.
UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster Okay, go for it, point out where I said they don't have the right to express their opinions. You're all about facts and not mindlessly labeling or attacking anyone, Lord and Savior of Civil Liberty, please point out all the evidence where I said they don't have the right to express their opinions. Or where I said anything about them being Nazis. Where I mentioned anything at all about my believes or what I think. Point that out and I'll completely concede that you're right. Unless...you're not just looking at what I'm saying or not saying and you feel like you "just know" that sort of thing about me, are you?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@UpsideOutInsideDown By agreeing with this post. The poster is mocking these people and associating them with Nazis by stating they should go to Nuremburg. You are making the association by agreeing with the poster and attacking me when I questioned the poster and refuted that they are white supremacists.

So you don't think they are white supremacists and Nazis? Why don't you answer some of my questions now? Will you?

No, you won't. You will just pull something else out of context, change the subject, attack me again, or move on. You won't directly answer me because you can't.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@beckyromero By stating they should go to Nuremburg you are making a fantastical request and implying that is the ONLY place they should be allowed to express their opinions. You are denying them the right of free assembly and free expression.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster

I didn't say they should "ONLY" hold their rallies in Nuremberg. I didn't imply any such thing!

They could hold them in Munich, too.

UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster No, I've pretty openly stated that I think these are white supremacists. They're a group dedicated to white supremacy. Kind of the definition...but as you need facts to be stated elsewhere:
Read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unite_the_Right_rally
or look at this about the organiser https://www.propublica.org/article/things-got-left-out-of-the-daily-callers-report-confederate-monument-rally
or you could look at this article from the New Yorker https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/living-next-door-to-a-white-supremacist

But you are so 100% committed to missing the point that I'm fine with letting you think you're some kind of winner in this, so congrats on that front, I'm pleased for you and your internet pride if it means that much to you. I don't care about the Nurembourg crap, because to me that obviously facetious, but then I'm not hell bent on finding some form of offence to defend white supremacy.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@beckyromero Silly me! And here I thought you were a discriminatory bitch who thought it would be humorous to call out American citizens expressing their right to free assembly and free expression by implying they are Nazis.

But Nuremburg and Munich. Got it. Thanks for clarifying.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster
But Nuremburg and Munich. Got it. Thanks for clarifying.

Just all part of the service to make them feel more comfortable.

If I had a time-machine handy, I'd gladly dial up May 8, 1945 for them, too.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@UpsideOutInsideDown
No, I've pretty openly stated that I think these are white supremacists.

So what if they are? They don't have the right to free assembly and free speech? You seemed to have missed my earlier statement:

Just because I don't share their beliefs doesn't mean I can't support their right to express such beliefs. I don't agree with a lot of activists but I wouldn't tell them they didn't have the right to express their opinions.

But you are so 100% committed to missing the point

I'm not missing the point, I just don't agree. As I said, you are experiencing cognitive dissonance. We aren't arguing the same things.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@beckyromero Thanks for confirming you are discriminatory and have prejudices about certain types of people. It allows me to discount your opinions as you are just as racist, sexist, and classist as you claim other people are.
UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster Wait...a few replies ago it was all about proving they were white supremacists...never mind...I'll return to my earlier point...show me where I said they shouldn't be allowed to assemble or exercise free speech.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@UpsideOutInsideDown I've already done that. I'm not repeating myself. You have nothing so you are now circling back to previous statements.

By all means keep it up. You aren't making yourself look any better here.
UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster Awwww bless ya, you tried. Enjoy your weekend :)
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@UpsideOutInsideDown Uh huh. As I said previously...

You will just pull something else out of context, change the subject, attack me again, or move on. You won't directly answer me because you can't.

Toodles! You have a good weekend as well! Work on your ability to express your opinions you are really terrible at it.
UpsideOutInsideDown · 41-45, M
@SumKindaMunster Hahahaha...maybe my pity is turning into envy. Wish I could just ignore things I didn't like
