Can someone explain the lack of outrage in 2014 when all of the unaccompanied minors were being held in "cages"?

Why an issue with it now? And no I am not referring to kids being separated from their parents, just the initial holding and processing

They weren't being directed to be outraged in 2014. If the"outraged" had half a brain they might notice how they are being useful idiots.
