Sure. One deals with law, the other is racism in the sheep's clothing of pretend law.

Clear enough?

@Graylight i would say entering the country illegally is not pretend law in sheeps clothing. Clear enough?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@akindheart It's a misdemeanor offense. A speeding ticket. Are we now going to enforce all the laws as strictly and harshly as this one?

This "letter of the law" BS has to end. Simply call it for what it is and earn respect for at least integrity - racism.

@Graylight and who is going to pay for all of these illegal immigrants??? i sure will not regardless of their race. I just have to shake my head at your rationale.
besides i am eagerly watching what is going on in Congress ..

@akindheart There was no crisis a year ago. Although immigration has always been part of a political platform, it hasn't recently been used to veil racism.

The influx of illegal immigrants was down over the last 8 years. This is fear-mongering and nativism at its most diabolical. It's only a problem because Trump says it's problem.

@Graylight with all DUE respect, are you out of your mind??? we are seeing over 50,000 per month according to the head of ICE who was on tv last night. they are trying to get in before the wall. and forget that damn rascism tactic. this is NOT about rascism. this is about foreigners coming in and taking advantage of us. WE can not support them. so your idea is to let everybody in...of course you don't live where i live and see the absolute destruction being wrecked on my beautiful city.

@akindheart Except that isn't true. It is sharply on the rise again, but that's been attributed to immigrants trying to cross the border before laws become so strict it's simply no longer possible.

As for taking care of immigrants, they take care of themselves to a large extent, most of them paying taxes. I would encourage some research on how immigrants contribute to the economy and to society.

As for understanding issue firsthand, I live in a city that is 65% Hispanic, and that doesn't include the enormous illegal immigrant population we have here, which I used to see daily on a first-hand basis. And yet the city runs, the citizens get along, and it's no different than any other town in America. Just slightly darker skin.
