@hlpflwthat Every time I visit the border area I'm made aware of more atrocities by drug thugs in and near the border. Incidents that rarely get headlines further north than Cotulla, Tx.

You point to single incident while thousands of unaccompanied children are sent across the border with out parents. You show the image of one crying child and ignore the suffocation deaths resulting from human trafficking. How long did that speeding van that flipped and killed 5 illegals stay in the headlines? One day?

I've walked through those cage-like structures dozens of times. It's sweltering heat in south Texas and chain-link walls facility air circulation.

Put the demands on congress to put together a reasonable border policy that takes away the incentive for drug thugs, human traffickers and other criminals from exploiting children and the disenfranchised in Mexico and Central America. Congress needs to stop playing partisan politics and do it NOW!

I don't expect you to feel the same as I do. But a crying child is not a distraction to me. A crying child is a tragedy.
