You weren’t raised right if you’re response to imprisoned children is “they’re illegal aliens”.

We don’t have ideological differences, you lack morality..

Exactly, people are losing their humanity by taking away the humanity of others and it should shed a light on and make people question the society they've grown complacent in.
Nobody should have a say in this, this is nobodies business. I can only hope nobody supporting said rhetoric ever has to go through this themselves if a calamity stuck.
Let them be the ones to personally tell the child "You can't see your family again" as the mother and father watches them from a cage and see where they stand on it then.
But hey, its just images on a screen right? thats the issue..everyone is so detached.

@Gh0s1 How is that different from when a police officer stops a US citizens for a traffic violation while driving with a child and discovers that the driver has an outstanding warrant?

Why do these so called "cages" look so much like what we are accustomed to seeing as school playgrounds.

How do we know whether those images of crying children are crying for their mom or crying for another ice cream cone?
@Heartlander A person wanting a better future for their kids and a person who can't drive safely are different situations entirely. A cage is a cage, and the last point is something that you or I wouldn't understand as we've been lucky enough not to be in those situations, we can cast all the doubt in the world but if thats what is happening (which it is) then its wrong.
@Heartlander We can look at it through the eyes of legality, or we can look at it from the eyes of humanity. If that was my family i'd want the best for them, and to see them ripped away from me in trying to do that would be devastating beyond anything we'd know.
We can make all the comparisons in the world but it doesn't change what is happening to people.

@Gh0s1 I have been through every country in Central and South America, and am well familiar with the border area. I know what the people are fleeing. I also know about how they are exploited by traffickers and drug thugs.

Those so called "cages" are simply dividers and safety fences. The same kinds that foot-traffic crossing the border walk through every day, the same type fences that keep children's playgrounds safe.
@Heartlander children's playgrounds don't separate those from the ones they love though, its comparing something else to something that sounds innocent to make a point.
I just can't agree with this kind of practice.

If that was my grandchild, I'd be thankful that the border patrol protected them from drug smugglers or sex traffickers and were more concerned for the safety of the child than for the right of drug thugs to exploit my grandchild.
@Heartlander I'll take that into consideration, thanks for the insight. I do mean that.

Most responsible child care operations put the interest of the child first and scrutinizes contact from others, even people who say they are the parents.

50 years+ ago a child was kidnapped from our school and murdered by an adult pretending to be the parent.
