I would think that the trip atop a train from from Central America and the treatment by human traffickers that locked them in the back of vans or under the floor boards was a lot more terrifying, dangerous and un-loving than the treatment they receive from our border patrol.

This is about the safety of the children. Per McAllen border patrol, most of the arriving children are unaccompanied or have insufficient evidence of being a family. Many were separated from their parents before crossing into the US. Should the border patrol just hand these children over to be exploited?
