Should an African American baker be forced to bake a cake for someone in the KKK?

I guess I'm sort of curious why we're snowflakes about service jobs all of a sudden.

I've worked catering and other food service jobs where the customers cursed at us, threw things at us, shoved us. Called us idiots, morons, pieces of shit. I've taught in a classroom where the students were openly hostile, belligerent. In my business I've dealt with completely pieces of shit as customers-- hostile, litigious, nasty.

It's called working the job.

If I didn't want to be accosted by drunk self important privileged people-- well, I shouldn't have worked catering. If I didn't want hostile, immature, and nasty students-- well, I shouldn't have been in a classroom. If I didn't want PoS customers-- well, I shouldn't be in business, pretty much anywhere.

I don't get the baker who doesn't want to bake fucked up cakes. Gay things, Nazi things, dicks, pussy's. You're a baker.
@CopperCicada I think the whole cake thing started when that baker didn't want to bake a wedding-cake for the same-sex couple. He did offer to bake them another cake and even suggested an alternative baker. It appears, though, that he may have been just targetted by those to use it as a crusading banner for gay rights. Pretty sure a city has more than one cake shop. In my opinion, the same-sex couple should have just moved on!!
@EugenieLaBorgia i know the background in that story.

it's just strange to me.

i see it more and more in different sectors.

vegan restaurant workers don't want to handle meat. religious pharmacists don't want to dispense birth control. addicts in recovery working in hospitality don't want to be around alcohol. religious ER attending physicians not only don't want to do abortions, but deal with abortion complications.

srsly?
@CopperCicada It's all weird stuff. It's like a sheet metal worker saying he doesn't want to cut copper sheet because it's too orangy and the colour hurts his eyes!!
