Summit: What actually happened, if not what was promised?

Okay people, the US/NK 'summit' is all done and dusted...Here's the take from pretty much everyone who is looking in, and what was none negotiable before it:

They both have basked in the coverage and if that was the desired outcome, it's worked. The rest is very broad strokes of the brush with no 'deal'. Past presidents have refused to meet the NKs and negotiate any withdrawal from SK unless NK eliminates its nuclear weapons. It seemed before Trump went to Singapore that that too was the deal breaker; NK absolutely must get rid of its nuclear weapons, and have it overseen now and in the future..

That isn't what has happened. Instead the fat kid has said he wants to see work towards the entire peninsula de-nuclearised, and (and this is the bit lost in the small print). Withdrawal of the US from SK..

Trump has announced he'll stop US military exercises with SK (Pre condition from the fat kid), but hasn't demanded NK get rid of its nuclear weapons (Pre condition from Trump) and the fat kid hasn't offered to do so.

Nothing happened. It was a photo opp for both of them. Kim goes back, tells his people what they want to hear, retains control over his nuclear program, with no security or inspections, and since nothing was brought up about human rights issues, he can continue to starve and kill his people.
It was BLATANTLY clear from the outset that Trump was getting played. He thinks the world will buy in to his hollow hyperbole. They don't. There really are smart people in the world who see this for what it was.

@Ynotisay And now he can go on to the next shiny object, leaving his adoring loyalists to award him the Nobel.

@windinhishair I took a dive in to some of the extremist sites out there and they LITERALLY took it to mean that Trump saved the world. There's no arguing with that mentality. They're living in a world that's all their own.

@Ynotisay Yes, they are. Amazing, isn't it?

@windinhishair "Amazing" is one word for it.
