Should the US expand Maternity leave and introduce paternity leave?

HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
No. Go to work
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
We have no paternity leave, and no paid maternity leave, for you see, we are nation that values the nuclear family...until it costs money.
Arzawa · 31-35, M
@Xuan12 Don't worry, they will just replace us with immigrants.
Its up I the company as it should be.

My company has both. Don't know the maternity states. But paternity leave is a week paid.
It will never happen in a country where money is God
Graylight · 51-55, F
Yes, but it's unlikely it'll happen in a country where even maternity leave is seen as an enormous imposition. I knew someone from Sweden who said he got 6 weeks off for paternity leave.

Back in the day we women fought for pregnancy to be treated like all other illness. Now we see that wasn't enough for some. What a surprise.

Yes. But time is money.
