Why Does Telsa Keep Getting a Pass on These Accidents?
A Tesla car has crashed into a parked police car in California.

The driver suffered minor injuries and told police she was using the car's driver-assisting Autopilot mode.

The crash has similarities to other incidents, including a fatal crash in Florida where the driver's "over-reliance on vehicle automation" was determined as a probable cause.
Tesla should be required by law to fully indemnify any user of its vehicles.

Car crashes are not the cars fault though.
Autonomous driving is still in the hands of the driver.

@SW-User To be fair, the only time it's not the drivers fault would be if the car is FULLY automated, like these self driving cars which "replace" drivers.

BUT in terms of something that the driver themselves enable, it is very much the drivers fault.

"Over reliance" is an apt description of the situation.

@Fangirlsarah1996 Yup. Blaming Tesla for these accidents is like blaming Boeing for the bombing of Nagasaki.
