Mrs Trump is recovering nicely

I wonder if watching the royal wedding is on her weekend agenda?

Washington (CNN) President Donald Trump provided an update Friday on first lady Melania Trump, who has remained hospitalized since undergoing kidney surgery earlier this week.

"She's doing great. Doing great," Trump told a reporter after delivering remarks at a prison reform event at the White House.

On Monday, Mrs. Trump, 48, underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

"The procedure was successful, and there were no complications," Grisham said, adding that the first lady would likely remain in the hospital for the duration of the week.

Do they have an obligation to share the real medical reasons?

No. Medical privacy laws. Supposedly it was minimally invasive, which means outpatient for most people.

Most of what I read shows a 1-3 night hospital stay for this type of procedure. I hope she gets out today. Hospitals are no place to be on weekends. @Northwest

@jackjjackson The CNN doctor and Mark Letwin, head of Urology at UCLA, both say that this is typically an outpatient surgery.

It's Laparoscopic surgery. I had one done, more than 15 years ago, to remove my gallbladder. In by 8AM, I was back home by 1PM. I was joking with the surgical team wanting to be awake, so I can watch it. When I woke up, they had the video on my chair. I was driving the next day.

Obviously, she can choose to remain in the hospital a few extra days. It's a work week, and Donald is in town.
