How was he a coward? Because he didn't blindly rush into an unknown situation with unknown assailants, possibly endangering the lives of students to an even greater degree?

@Graylight He was paid to protect and serve. He only protected and served himself. As a free agent, you have the option to stand outside the zone of danger. His job was to investigate and take down the shooter. Instead he did nothing.

@Graylight In reality he failed in his duty. School staff, unarmed and defenseless defended children while a paid gun, armed and wearing a vest did nothing.

@Graylight Of course not. I haven't been a firefighter either, but i know they are paid to put out fires. This is the job they signed up for.
