Anyone really believe Trump Jr had that Russian lawyer over at Trump Towers to discuss Russian adoptions?

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/politics/ct-donald-trump-jr-russia-investigation-20180516-story.html
Trump himself contributed to an initial statement about the meeting and released by his son, Trump Jr. told the committee. It misleadingly stated said the meeting had been "primarily" about the adoption of Russian children by Americans. The Kremlin halted adoptions in retaliation for the Magnitsky Act, the policy issue that appeared to be at the heart of Veselnitskaya's presentation.
@MichaelJTI'm not an idiot for one okay? Kelly didn't pay for any dossier. Steele was so disturbed by what he discovered he passed it on to contacts in the FBI, where he'd passed information in the past (nothing to do with Trump). His sources were sound and had been confirmed in the past..Do you think officers who work or have worked for MI6 fall down with the rain or something?

They went to procure info from a FOREIGN entity for shit on Clinton, which is against the law...You knew that right?

How do you know mueller colluded with Russians? (Which isn't illegal by the way, profiting from it is) Has Hannity been telling you?

@MichaelJT
Each side always looks for dirt on the other you idot.
Yes, yes. Sometimes you dig through old news clips. Sometimes you bug phones and illegally direct FBI agents to snoop around (like LBJ did on RFK). Sometimes you even break into Washington, D.C. apartment complexes.

But, until 2016, no one ever used the Russians.

Joe McCarthy must be turning over in his grave at what the Trump campaign did.

You can bet he wouldn't have been party to rallying around the Donald.

I think, when you know you're in the sh*t, the only thing to do is to muddy the waters so much nobody can tell fact from fiction anymore.

at least that way you gain 'plausible deniability'. To some at least.
To the rest you just have to play 'victim'.

No. They're so full of sh*t.

@HerKing What's fascinating about that clip to me is that you can SEE him lying. The look on his face is a deer caught in the headlights. And his immediate response is to lie. That says it all right there.
HerKing · 61-69, M
@Ynotisay I know others have said similar but I share the view that he really doesn't know the difference between a lie and truth...It's the verbal equivalent of a mouse trying to get away from a cat...It could be an escape or it might not be, but as long as in the moment the cat hasn't grabbed him, he's safe.

@HerKing I think that assessment is right on the money. His professional life has been spent that way. The difference is that in the old days he'd settle out of court or file bankruptcy. That won't fly now.
I'm sticking with what I've thought for a long time. He'll resign before he's removed. That way he can blame fake news and traitors and go on his way.

Yes I do...there are reasons that the mass media won't tell why he was talking about that subject.

Apparently, you missed class this morning. 😄

The transcripts of the interviews of meeting participants have been released by the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
