Why would Trump help Chinese phone company, ZTE?

I guess the Commerce Dept must lift the sanctions against this company.

If the company fails, a lot of jobs in China would be lost, I reckon also it would effect America's business and jobs too if they shipping these phones there for sale

@wakanda4eva That’s might be true but we don’t want to import more stuff do we?
wakanda4eva · 26-30, F
@SimplyTracie it's not really more stuff if they already been importing it

@wakanda4eva Isn’t it a good thing if they’re not exporting their phones at the present time. Isn’t that the goal? To reduce their exports to the USA?
wakanda4eva · 26-30, F
@SimplyTracie I don't know about that haha, all I know is that I reckon since USA owe a shitt ton of money to china, iz best for them to help a huge phone company out for both dem country's economy.

@wakanda4eva We could just not cash their bonds. Title 7 protection.

@SimplyTracie although just by reading this article

https://mashable.com/2018/05/13/donald-trump-supports-zte-everyone-else-confused/#XgTw_OTu.kqS

not sure if it true or not, but they said that the company was actually fined after the US government found out it was doing business with north korea and iran, even though it would help out a lot of people keep their jobs and earn money, kinda shows that Donald trump is only lookin at the economic side and not humanitarian side of things.. but then again politics and all that poop is so confusing I just assume he's doing it for the greater good lol, cos he used to be a businessman.

@SimplyTracie if I'm not wrong from what I searched from wikipedia is that title 7 is an anti-terrorism bill passed in the United States after the September 11, 2001 attacks, so Donald trump kinda going against it haha
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@wakanda4eva Sanctions wouldn’t work if we keep pulling back. Sooner or later empty threats will be just that. The international community will just roll their eyes back. 🙄
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@wakanda4eva I guess there's a lot of title 7’s but the one I was thinking of was about bankruptcy protection.
wakanda4eva · 26-30, F
@SimplyTracie do you have a link for the title 7 protection about bankruptcy?

cos what I could find from wikipedia is this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapter_11,_Title_11,_United_States_Code

(When a business is unable to service its debt or pay its creditors, the business or its creditors can file with a federal bankruptcy court for protection under either Chapter 7 or Chapter 11.)

what do you mean by not cashing their bonds? cos I can't find about that haha
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@wakanda4eva Ohhh sorry. It’s chapter 7, title 11. I’m so stupid 😔
wakanda4eva · 26-30, F
@SimplyTracie 😅nahh nahh haha, I also literally don't know shitt, i'm just like bored and genuinely curious to talk about why donald trump is hooking up with china's smartphone company
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@wakanda4eva Thank you 😊

I just don’t understand his politics. Do some research and make a decision based on your policies. Every decision has drawbacks but you gotta stick with it.

BTW, I never heard of this phone company before today.
