I called her, but she didn't pick up. So I left her a message and sent her one on Facebook (she lives on the other side of the country).

@caccoon How are things going with your family? The stuff with your dad can't be easy :(
caccoon · 36-40
@CountScrofula It's hard, I should be flying out soon, but I'm going to stay with my brother and his phone was broken so I couldn't get ahold of him. I finally did today, and he was all stoic and weird. But yeah... it'll be okay.

@caccoon It will. Gotta figure out how to manage the present then. Depression and death and family shit and travel all coming together is a lot at once!
caccoon · 36-40
@CountScrofula It is, it's a lot of little things too, like having my aunt take care of my dog while I'm away, and just even getting a ride to the airport (I hate asking and feel like a burden)... etc. The list is endless!

Anyway, sorry. XD I should probably stop derailing this topic. :)

@caccoon I brought it up, you're not derailing it! I am ;) And your dad is sick, having your aunt take care of Lucy won't be the end of the world. I have three goddamn dogs. I gave up feeling guilty about forcing them on friends when I'm out of town lol. I just promise to take care of their pets when they're gone.
@caccoon i called mine as well. no reply- but also no answering machine as she is 89 and feel she does not need one.

She has a family that adapted her now so to speak. They took her out to eat with them- they did the same on Christmas day.

She has made her choice of who she wants to be with and so be it.
