Why do illegals think they have done nothing when they break the law to enter a country illegally?

@PlumBerries Yeah, how dare people want a decent wage, safety, education or simply a better life. I'd say it's we US citizens who feel entitled to all that most of all.

Being in the US illegally is not a crime, it's a civil infraction, same as speeding.

Entering the country is *[i]gasp[/i]* a misdemeanor. We're threatening to separate kids from their parents over civil torts and misdemeanor crimes.

[c=#7700B2]if it is not illegal why then would anyone get served with criminal penalties for doing so? it honestly baffles me on people who stick up for this type of thing. there is a process to getting into another country the right way for a good purpose and people who get in illegally should be punished by the law and or deported back for numerous reasons[/c]
