The votes for Reagan blow my mind. How quickly people forget. Or maybe they don't realize the biggest problems we face are a direct result of his Presidency. They must not be part of the middle or working class.

@Ynotisay Just so everyone reading this much later understands, Ynotisay is referring to four out of the first seven votes. Hardly a reasonable sample size yet.

@beckyromero Sorry. Unless someone is ridiculously wealthy- one vote is one too many.

If you'd gone back a bit further, I doubt if anybody would have wanted Nixon!
@supersnipe Nixon was an excellent VP--Eisenhower was terrible at foreign affairs and he had Nixon take care of many foreign affair issues. He was a great general and leader- and he know interior aspects well. Nixon knew exterior aspects.

Compared to the liar and deceiver Johnson was Nixon was just what the country needed when they did. I campaigned for him , door to door in 1972. he took the unrest that was prevalent in 1968, when he was elected, and stopped it, over time. The streets became better. Not a riot everyday. OK-he had Attica and San Question that were prison riots. By 1972 the Black Panthers, The Weathermen Underground, The Hippies and Yippies, and more ceased to be the factor they were.

He won 49 States in 1972, he lost DC and McGovern's home state. Quite a feat!!!!

He was a great communist hunter- and that was why the break-in. As communists were hiding in the Democratic party. Not to steal campaign secrets as it was falsely made out to be. Really? He won by 48 states!!! He did not need them.

He helped chair the Hiss-Chambers case of 1948--and since then he was a communist hunter.

One of the best presidents of last century.

None of them. The last good president was Eisenhower, and I ain't so sure about him....
Eisenhower/Nixon or 1st term Nixon/Agnew
Bill would be my pick out of all of these I guess.

3 people pick Reagan? Bahahahahahaha!!!! We are all doomed!

I choose Willy. He was conservative on economic matters and liberal on social ones. He also kept that pant-suit harlot in her place.
