A wonderful idea, but it's not going to happen. When the population of the Earth reached a total of three, one was a politician and the other two argued about whether they should elect him/her or push them off the planet.

@roy1990 Perhaps for the first time in history, methods of communication, at least in first world nations, is good enough to possibly survive without politicians.

But that would only work if we developed a truth detector to ensure that the information we got was accurate.

Then we could participate in running the world from the internet. Email vote today! Should we let the Nile flood every year? Aye or Nay.
