Do you sometimes wonder how people can be communist in this day and age?

I didn’t think people were until I came onto sites with mostly people who never even lived in a communist/post communist countries claiming communism is oh so great.

I dont think most of them think communism is so great, so much as it doesn't suck as much as capitalism does (for them, specifically, I would assume).

@Bruh222 I think that was true when they were in competition. Since 1990, less and less true, I think? But then I'm one of the (relative) winners under capitalism, so I have a somewhat biased view of it. For people who are down and have been for a couple of generations, or for those who used to suffer it in the USSR/empire and are now victims of the most vicious predatory capitalism, I can see how they would feel otherwise.

@firefall some of post communist countries that adopted a more capitalistic government have been doing so much better though. But idk maybe I’m just stupid.
