It is important to respect and support the office no matter who is the president. That is true when trump is in the office, as well as when Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan, or anyone else was. However, support and respect for the person in office is a completely different matter. The current occupant doesn't respect the office himself, and he does not deserve the respect or support of many Americans. It has nothing to do with the election--it has everything to do with how he's conducted himself in office.

Let me ask you this? Angela Merkel is the current Chancellor of Germany. Do you support her and the office of Chancellor? Does that mean that if you do not support Chancellor Hitler that you are a crybaby?

The bottom line is that you can have respect for and support the office without respecting or supporting the office-holder.

Bad analogy. Hitler took over as a dictator did t follow their constitutional process. I’m often embarrassed by the President’s bad behavior. @windinhishair

@jackjjackson Hitler "took over" as you put it, by manipulating the electorate and the democratic process. He was elected into office, just as trump was elected. Neither of them deserve respect and support.

@jackjjackson You should be embarrassed, as any reasonable person should be.

Hitler was named Chancellor in 1933, so anyone who blindly supported the Chancellor role supported Hitler before he had the Reichstag dissolved and took full control of the government. That just highlights the problems in supporting every leader, regardless of their positions and actions. There can always be a leader and a situation, in any government, that is unworthy of support. And that is precisely what a large percentage of Americans believe at this point in time.

So now you’re dog whistling fearmongering? How low can you goa. @windinhishair
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson Not at all. Just pointing out the fallacy of your original premise that all Americans should support both the office and the president.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
No fallacy whatsoever. Been true since George Washington and has never changed. You may think you’re a self righteous witty know it all the reality is you’re a little man living in fear of being exposed. You know it. @windinhishair

@jackjjackson Your pathetic apologist ramblings for your orange moron in chief is what's being exposed here.

@jackjjackson Support for the president is not and should not be a given, no matter how many times you say it, Captain Oblivious. We all know you support the president no matter what, but that doesn't mean that everyone should show equal blind loyalty.

@jackjjackson Back to the meaningless memes that are your trademark and have resulted in your past censure. Because blind support and adoration for your fearless leader is verbally indefensible.

Simply giving your drivel the response it merits. @windinhishair

@jackjjackson Did that response work with the Administrators?
