If It Worked For The USSR Why Not The USA?

Hey Americans! Since guns are such a bad idea why not just turn them in? Just turn them in! In Russia after the Communists defeated all armed resistance they made it mandatory to hand in weapons of any kind - even swords (what need for a Zorro in the People's Republic?) leaving only the army, KGB, Internal Security, Border Security and Police with guns ... and look how well that worked out! When the Government decided the Ukrainian peasants had too much grain and decided to take it from them all they had to defend themselves were pitchforks and shovels...so millions of Ukrainian peasants could be starved to death or deported to Siberia without the plans of the State interfered with.

So learn from the Soviet Union, Americans! Listen to your Leftist politicians and media speaking to you behind their protective walls of armed security ... line up NOW like good citizens and hand in your guns. Don't make us come and take them ... understood?

Government will take care of you. It promises.

Seriously... If everyone in the united states melted their AR-15's and bumpstocks we would still have plenty of guns to defend ourselves.

Nobody is ever going to come for your Remington 870.

@SW-User You even know what a bumpstock is? And your comment is a completely irrelevant to what I wrote.
SW-User
Not sure of the exact science but it uses the recoil to repeat the trigger pull. I'm sure it melts just as well and an AR-15, sir.

@SW-User In other words you don't know what you talking about. Quick - how many bumpstocks were used in mass killings in the United States? And why exactly are you singling out the AR 15? Why do you think I should e "melt down" especially? And what do you say to those who own one who have never hurt anyone using one?

And ...really, do you even own a gun or have ANY idea what you are talking about, miss? I mean...are you on drugs? Not only do you not know what you are talking about you don't even know who you are talking TO! Unless of course you think only men such as yourself(?) can know about guns? If true that would make you not only an ignoramus but a sexist, too!

@Abrienda Seriously? Yes. I have a good old liberty safe in the basement.

I'm just trying to say that we will never lose all of our guns. I'm not going to cry a river if they ban more tactical stuff. (because I don't own any)

I'd be annoyed if they did some sort of ban on semi-automatic pistols and capacity but even then... my stuff would be grandfathered in.

So you are okay with the rights of OTHER Americans being taken away so long as your are not?

Yes I am serious. It's you who isn't. You cannot address a single point I raise nor my questions about AR 15's or bumpstocks (Quick! Do they make it easier to hit a target or less?). The specific kind of weapon isn't the point of my post anyway but in your case it doesn't matter cause you have no idea what you are talking about anyway.

Carrying an RPG is not a right. Is it? I'm not taking any way anyone's right to carry arms. The arms can be limited. (Really)

I see no advantage to their being an attachment to turn a semi-auto into a (poor man's) automatic rifle. Just get rid of it. People can make their own and mod them... just don't allow them to be sold. Done.

The AR-15 is the traditional line in the sand and that's why I mentioned it in my reply. If they were all melted, we would still be a safe nation. Out of of the 12 rifles in the last hunting cabin I was in (before I moved across the country) none were AR style rifles. When we were flipping through the Field and Stream in the cabin, everybody chuckled at the thought of who would bring the first AR. They aren't for hunting... they are people killers. I don't think that stigma will ever change.

@SW-User So...from bumpstocks to RPG's? It is hard to take you serious.

You simply don't get it. What makes you think it would stop at AR 15's? When magically all AR 15's dissappear you think that will end mass shootings? Of course it won't and ANOTHER type of weapon is used at a mass shooting, what then? Ban it,too?

Of course you do not worry about that...you have said you don't care if someone else's gun rights are violated so long as yours are not. And you believe what you are willing to see happen to others will never happen to you.

You are engaged in what is called magical thinking. The problem with that is reality eventually breaks in.

Good luck then. You wlll need it.
SW-User
You, sir, are the idiot.

I own guns. I don't think they should be taken away. How old are you that you forget the earliest parts of these conversations?

The RPG and AR-15 are examples of a limitation. We can limit what is carried without destroying the 2nd amendment. Bear arms.

I know it's hard when you're old and frail but please remember that stating your argument louder or repeatedly doesn't help you win it.

Thanks.
