I read the post story this morning, and tbh, I'm not sure if this makes a difference.

Trump started out poor, with only a few million dollars to his name, and made something bigger out of himself with his own cunning.

Not saying I buy it, but that's the spin that got him here, and seems to matter more than silly bullshit about morality or truth.

Showing past victims of Trump's habitual lying and fraud might help some, but I don't think dishonesty is a big deal to Trump, his followers, and hence to Republicans.

A fortiori, showing he duped the society papers to get taken seriously, it's just... Well... the American dream.
