he whole march for our lives.

I remember back during 2016 Trying to get DailyKOS to Rally behind Bernie because Bernie was more popular with my generation and I thought that Bernie Sanders would get NONVOTERS to vote and show up

I’m a millennial and I want to show up at these rallies in PDX in solidarity with march for our lives but I have to say to those kids with the “my generation votes” signs I certainly hope you will.

Because so far the Democratic base is largely writing off my generation and our issues because we are unreliable at showing up at the Ballot box

I vote in EVERY election. I’ve been voting since 2004. I voted in 2004 for John Kerry, I’ve been a Dailykoser since the Bush years and recognize the need for independent bloggers because the mainstream media does a poor job of reporting the facts for instance on the iraq war. I voted in 2006, I voted in 2008, I voted in 2010, I didn’t get a ride to the polls in 2012 unfortunately but I voted in 2014, and 2016.

It’s not my fault that Hillary lost, I voted for her in the general election in spite of having some serious resentments towards KOS and the Democratic base for the way we were treated as Bernie Supporters during the primary. I swallowed my pride and voted for Hillary plugging my nose during it.

I hope all these Rallies start getting people registered to vote because My generation outnumbers the Boomers if we all show up we automatically win but so many millennials and young people can’t be counted on to vote.

This needs to change.

So I hope these kids aren’t just in the streets but are also registering to vote. the democratic party doesn’t care about our issues or pay attention to us because we are unreliable voters as a Demographic.

I’ve been voting Straight Ticket blue since 2004. I’m tired of being ignored.

The women’s march and the AntiTrump Protest should have included places to register to vote

I think all of these protests are just making people tune out. If Democrats continue to say that Trump should be impeached, we are likely to see his base support him for another 4 years.
