I find it difficult not even being in that country, all I will say is I have been in plenty of resturants, fast food and cafe in UK where they would ask you if you're going to purchase anything, to me it's the height of rudeness to go into a place of business taking up a table that can earn them takings and not purchase something..you meet outside if that's the case..

@Primnproper they were there 2 minutes waiting for a friend who was late..before they ordered. If they'd been there a half hour and refused to leave or buy something then maybe it could be justified...but that is not at ALL what happened. There is much more to this story that you don't seem to know...the cops should not have arrested them without assessing the situation...they ignored the white customers there who said they too had been sitting for a few minutes without ordering something but no one bothered THEM not to mention that the cops didn't read them their rights...just threw them handcuffed into the cruiser

@Fernie yes there are a lot of things that were done wrong but I'm just saying here if you sat somewhere that was busy and didn't order you would get asked as well...I'm sure it wasn't right and maybe racially motivated by an overactive manager.

@Primnproper ?? 2 minutes??? SITTING FOR 2 MINUTES SHOULD GET YOU HANDCUFFED AND ARRESTED????? You really need to get the facts...there is NO question that it was racially motivated by an ignorant, bigoted manager...it was video taped repeatedly.

@Fernie no that wasn't what I said was it..I said here you would get asked if you were going to order..if you said yes when our guest arrives they would leave you be but if not they would ask you to vacate the table..I never said anything about them calling the police over it.
