Agree or disagree with calling the police?

Starbucks decision to call the police has led to accusations of racial profiling by the company and the police.

If two white men had told that manager, “we’re waiting for another party to arrive, and he will be here shortly”, that would’ve been the end of it. They wouldn’t have been asked to leave, and the police certainly wouldn’t have been called. On the tape you can hear and see several customers (white customers, btw) insisting, “but they weren’t doing anything wrong ! What’s going on ?” And meanwhile, the third man did arrive—in time to see his friends being led off in handcuffs for basically just being there. 😒

@bijouxbroussard Seriously - waiting for someone to get there before ordering is... normal.

@bijouxbroussard Absolutely true! How absurd for them to call the police because two black young men were simply sitting at a table waiting on a friend. Furthermore, I cannot believe the police felt it necessary to cuff these gentlemen!
