A federal judge recently ruled that AR-15's are not protected by the 2nd ammendment of the US constitution. Thoughts?

Sure... I would hate to run into a 12 gauge but seeing any semi-automatic (especially one modified to fire faster) is scary enough.

Certainly anything of a higher calibre, higher muzzle velocity, higher cycling rate, same magazine capacity, and the same capacity to accept a foregrip, collapsible stock, and variety of optics would be a more logical target right?

@SW-User Sane people like me use them for target practice and given the 1911 I carry isn't enough, protection if need be. Besides, people are the problem not the guns

@Ynotisay @SW-User If anyone is to have an actual discussion on this topic, it needs to go beyond party lines and avoid correcting simple grammatical errors. There is no need or want for picking apart small issues when talking about such a large issue.

To answer questions, I believe that the most threatening firearms available on the streets are those that are not classed as NFA firearms, and not regulated as normal firearms are, allowing for a number of features that would otherwise be considered a felony if applied to a platform like the AR-15.
