The political right needs to prove that they are the underdogs with powerful forces against them. They can't use a socialist class analysis, obviously, so...

@Burnley123 The left and the right and those in between are all prone to believe what they choose to believe. Conspiracy is not limited to any one segment.

@hippyjoe1955 Hmm... yes some on the left have conspiracy theories but the part of the left I am interested in has theory, not conspiracy. Its about looking at patterns in history and looking and the relationships between economics and politics. For example, how the state represents the interests of the ruling class (or a section of it).

I actually agree with the Trumpsters when they say that the US Government has a deep state and that it is against Trump. This includes the civil service and the secret services, who are unelected and have a systemic and historic function which involves protecting the interests of the American elite. That isn't me copying the US right, its the US right co-opting language that originated on the radical left.

The US state is not against Trump because they are 'liberal' or because Hillary or George Soros pulled some strings (as some think). That is bonkers. The America state represents the interests of capital and they are happy with Trump when he cuts corporate taxes and follows 'conventional' US foreign policy. It's not in the interests of American capitalism for Trump to impose trade tariffs on China or to be close to Putin. Also, they do not like his unpredictability and do not want the norms and conventions of US Government compromised by radical changes. Trump is also bad for diplomacy and American world hegemony. Hence why they resist his moves,

@Burnley123 No it is a conspiracy theory. Socialism is premised on a conspiracy theory dressed up as an academic subject.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 You wouldn't know what an academic subject was if it fell done from the sky and hit you on the head. In fact, if that happened, you'd probably get angry and say it was a false flag planted by the Hillary foundation.

@Burnley123 jet fuel can't melt ideas!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Burnley123 Actually I do and you are under the illusion that because it is in academia it is sound theory. It is not. It is simply a conspiracy theory that academics accept. Academics are likely more prone to falling for silly theories than non academics. They can't be seen separate from the herd or they will be seen as nonacademic.

Can you link a study which proves that? 😜
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Burnley123 AGW comes immediately to mind.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 OMG.

After all that, you agree with the conspiracy that AGW is a hoax. Pfff

Goodbye
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Burnley123 Yes it is a hoax and you are too stupid to know it. Bwahahahahahahahahahaha. What a maroon.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@hippyjoe1955 I knew there'd be one clown on this thread who would mention AGW , and it's no surprise that it turned out to be you.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RodionRomanovitch Yes your clown is someone else's wise man. The AGW theory is likely the biggest scam in human history. Its a shame silly people like you fell for it. But then you have or would have fallen for all manner of scams because they are dressed in 'scientific lingo' which you don't understand so you assume are correct because they are dressed in 'scientific lingo'. As someone else long ago pointed out the best way to scam a people is to 'educate' them enough so they think they know something. AGW is just such a scam. It is only one of many but silly 'educated' people will never catch on because they think they are too smart and too educated to be scammed. They are not. Kinda sad but really really funny to watch.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@hippyjoe1955Ok Joe , let's just assume you're right and everyone else is wrong , then maybe you could tell me who is behind this great scam , and what is the purpose of it ?
