I wonder how many teens marching today truly understand why and what they are asking for

And that they are being used as political pawns by the media

Because the media is covering these marches, students are somehow the pawns of journalism? I suppose to, then, Trump is a pawn. And the guy in the news footage after an accident when the reporter is advocating for safe driving.

Please.

Do the kids understand the intricate complexities of why they're marching? I'm sure they don't. I'm sure much of America doesn't.

What they do understand is they want to feel safe and they want the adults around them to act the sanely. It's not a lot to ask, and it's not allowed to understand. They are exercising their rights as US citizens and they should be applauded. What did you do today?
@Graylight if you listen to some of their speeches they have more of an adult political spin on them. There is no 11 year old that would say this stuff with out being prompted. Watch them and you will see

As far as what I did today. I went to work. 12 hours overtime going into my daughters college funds. Unlike some I'm doing the best I can to ensure my girls don't have completely massive college debt and there degree will be useful, not a waste of four years

@Harley4Life An 11 year old 1) is capable to great independent thought and 2) kids will speak what they're taught. This is true with Nazis, with Westboro, with abortion, with anything. That doesn't mean in any way the sentiments aren't their own. At any rate, I'm pretty sure they're not being sent scripts from the local new stations. Don't underestimate the youth; they'll be running the joint in 5-10 years. Impede them now and they learn only to be angry, defeated and jaded. Support them and ignite the spark of action and progress.

No education is wasted. Paying debt is great. Imagine if we could help create a place where that was attainable for everyone?
