Okay. We have all this polarization happening, but what do you think of political evolution?> Do you see where it's headed?

There is none.
It's still 'Have money' v 'No money' only NOW both sides have been found out in terms of their poor economic models.

How do you think Trump got elected ?
@Picklebobble2 Trump was elected because Hillary ran against him. She is a criminal joke. She would have lost against a pile of monkey shit.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@puck61 Trump was seen as 'the lesser of two evils'. ONLY because he had NO political affiliation. OR previous record to be compared to.
That makes him neither a better candidate nor better President.
@Picklebobble2 Things are really picking up here. Businesses are opening up everywhere and Obama's abandoned strip malls are filling up again. My TIAA retirement jumped like never before, and low skilled workers are getting forty hours a week again.

@puck61 I fear only because it's built on a 'stock market bubble'.
Where has all his money 'suddenly' come from ?
The whole world is in economic meltdown and NOBODY is making money they've 'EARNED'.
That means it's borrowed, as Trump has done recently with regard to massive tax breaks for the extremely wealthy in order to try and motivate the economy.
Where's the money come from for all this 'investment' ?
And how is it being managed ?
@Picklebobble2 "The future's uncertain and the end is always near."

Trump is far from perfect. I'm not stupid. We always play with non existent money. It's been that way since the late sixties.

@puck61 But all you need is another banking fiasco like the '08 scandal and it all come crashing down.
Same if there's a run on currency or a collapse in share prices !
It's a 'when' not'if'.

@Picklebobble2 we need to get back to a gold-and-silver based currency and that's in the plans.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@cherokeepatti Many have suggested that.

@Picklebobble2 That's what Kennedy planned on doing before they got him. His son also mentioned it when asked hypothetically on Tony Brown's Journal what 3 things he would do if he was elected president...he said the first thing he would do would be get rid of the Federal Reserve and go back to a gold-backed currency. And he didn't live but a few weeks after that.

@Picklebobble2 There were 3 wealthy bankers that opposed it, including John Jacob Astor and they were invited on the maiden voyage of the Titanic and looked what happened.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Picklebobble2 All the major wars have been to build up economies and enrich the bankers specifically the central bank in London.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@cherokeepatti Why do you think within weeks of becoming president, Mr.T took pot-shots at Kim Jung-Un and Putin ??
War has always been a good 'stand-by' in times of economic hardship.
Suddenly governments can justify extra troops at the lowest ranks and all those satellite industries that make combats/boots/telecommunications equipment/arms/vehicles etc etc.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Picklebobble2 The CIA has been controlling NK all along and Trump has placed the CIA under the NSA so it's not a separate agency now. POTUS has plans that don't involve wars to get the economy going again.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@cherokeepatti Hope you're right i really do ! Doesn't matter if the rest of the world struggles so much, but if America goes through a third term of struggling, that will likely herald a depression, not a recession.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Picklebobble2 I hope there is peace & prosperity for all.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Picklebobble2 I believe we can profit from peace if we focus on the right things, there are so many problems that need to be taken care of in this world and that should keep humanity working for a good long while. If there is peace and access to free energy individuals could start small businesses a whole lot easier...I'm thinking greenhouses to grow food....where I live they would have to be heated in the colder months and have artificial lighting in the winter during the short and cloudy days.
