I am from across the water but speaking as someone from outside the US Hillary looks to be the more experienced and balanced candidate.

I am baffled by the support for Trump who seems to be only saying what the mob wants to hear so he can get elected ...?

you know jj, it really doesn't matter. the time all of the hillary haters use doing so would be better spent trying to make trump look more appealing. He is losing voters every day, every speech. high ranking republicans are doing something they never in their wildest dreams thought they would and that's vote democrat. sure he has his rabid supporters, but they are not enough to win him the election. he is giving the white house to hillary. he stated in an interview thursday that he has no intentions of changing his campaigning style. The majority of the US don't believe he will be a good president, he is deluded if we believe that the unprofessonal things he says are just a joke 3 days later. he out and out denies saying things that he has said on vid and people know it. People know what is he has a history of discrimination and lies just as much as you say hillary does. i am no longer worried about him wining in novemeber. so however much you insult me and insult hillary does not matter 1 iota. so why not start talking positively about trump if you don't want hillary to win. talk about why he would be a good prez, talk about good things he has done in his lifetime to serve others. Make him look like more than just a bundle of hate who then lies about what he says. because if you don't this may be the biggest landslide win for the demos in history. all because you'd rather vilify Hrc than praise donald trump. but i know you won't. and i know that nothing i or anyone else says is going to change your mind. so i'm just gonna sit back and laugh all the way to hrc in the white house and ya'll will have no one to blame but yourselves.

I will butt out after this comment.

I am again baffled by the intense hatred of Obama.
He seems, when viewed from abroad to be intelligent, personable, thoughtful and gentlemanly. I realise this is a cynical world and he had to have some steel and cunning to survive at his level. Nonetheless, his demeanour is admirable.

He introduced health care reform to give citizens some of the protections enjoyed by most Europeans and Canadians. Is this not a good thing. Surely, the richest country on the world should provide this to its citizens when much lesser ones do this as a matter of course? Does not everyone want a country where people do not have to worry about their health? ? Am I missing something?

@grace Funny Hillary does not want to use deportation squads to deport us citizens, she has not spread lies about Trump (hrc is ill, losing her mind, wants to repeal the 2nd amendment to name a few) hillary has never insinuated that someone should shoot trump, hillary has been cleared of any criminal acts. Hillary has a positive message that hopes to unify the country, help women, follow in the good things Obama has done, (and before you attack Obama i have a list of over 400 things Obama has done to make america better for you.)trump preaches hate, lies and innuendos and has never once said how he will accomplish anything, he never ever gives a positive message i am not saying trump is pure evil, but he is a lot closer to it then hillary.

Trump has been charged and convicted with discriminatory rental practices by denying blacks as tenants, he has been sued numerous times for child molestation but settled out of court. he s now being sued for raping and beating a 13 year old and this one refuses to settle and has witnesses.

Hillary has never said she will raise taxes but trump has said in both his economic plans that he will lower taxes on the rich. he also proposes an economic program that conservative estimates say will cos the us $55 trillion. yet he can't say where that money will be made up.

Hillary s not a traitor except in your eyes and has never put our national security at risk. she may not be perfect but she is not the liar you will.

if you have a rebuttal please include cites from news organizations that equally cover both candidates or it isn't true

Hi again

I guess what I am observing about Trump vs Hillary from afar:
Hillary may be in cahoots with big business but Trump actually IS big business?
Are they not the ones trying to gain political influence and is this not simply the first time they have backed one of their own? ?
lorne13 · 61-69, M
the main thing about Clinton and Trump is that most of the crap about Clinton comes from her enemies and all the crap about Trump comes out of his own mouth
Kimnray · 46-50, C
@Gerrywell No need to butt out. I realize that in this discussion I'm out numbered, but everyone here has been civil, and gracious enough to let me introduce a differing point of view. I can only speak for myself, but my point of view is rarely explained or represented. Trumps business is real estate essentially, much different than tobacco, or oil which is constantly under the microscope by the Fda, Epa etc. challenging the very legality of these businesses. These are the types of interest lobbyist essentially buy members of both parties to protect. Trump could easily walk away from these whole thing without worrying about the legality of commercial real estate. Apples and oranges in my opinion. Trumps a different breed of semi creepy rich guy.

As for health care, it isn't given to us. At my income bracket I am required to have insurance, or face stiff penalties (loss of deductions, fines, etc.) for non compliance.
People who can't afford insurance, were enlisted under the Obama Plan. The plan forces private insurance companies to cover these people. The private companies then pass that cost on to us. I pay roughly 1200-1500 more now yearly, with such a high deductible, my insurance has yet to kick in to pay anything. That's been my experience.

Now, thirdly. I don't hate President Obama. I just don't agree with his policies. That's always been our right as citizens. That's why we have these silly elections. President Obama, as a person is far more like able to me than Trump or Hillary. Disagreement and hate are to very different things, regardless of those who'd rather label us may think. Thanks everyone, enjoy your Sunday.
Rutterman · 46-50, M
@Fallen-Shane - The Obama administration has deported almost as many illegal immigrants as all other presidential administrations combined. People on the left know this and have criticized him for it. It's high time people on the right acknowledged it and gave him credit for it.
ladycae · 100+, F
Grace will never see this because she blocked me but befre that she sent me a long pm that basically showed she is a big fan of conspiracy theories especially the one about how since she stared posting here someone else has been controlling her computer and tablets, making them scroll up and down. but oddly enough she had enough control to block me since i politely told her so. lol so let's not bash her fr her views but rather feel sorry for her issues
ladycae · 100+, F
many many rape cases are kept anonymous from the public with only the courts knowing the person's actual identity so yes it does mean something. and the fact there are witnesses and that trump has tried to pay her off speak volumes. Maybe if a public figure raped and beat you when you 13 you would want the whole world to know but there are rape shield laws and using them doe not diminish the case one bit.

i am not sure who you mean by illegal immigrants. if it is the Mexicans as trump states then there are more people returning to mexico than coming here. 300 some children wanting asylum from somewhere in South america were sent back home. Plus the prez does not make immigration laws. the senate and congress do so thank them. i do personally disagree with the law often referred to as baby drop. come over on a short term visA, have a child and boom you are a citizen. i do think that needs to be changed and have communicated such to my senators and congresmen. Have you?

i am for an assault weapon ban. i don't know that it will end badly and niether do you. however, hillary has no power to ban assault weapons. only congress and the senate can do that. so take your concerns and your blame to the right people.

you can not whitewash trump. i see rather than saying positive things about him you opted instead for mentioning hillary and her files, assumed hillary and Obama have much more power than they would and do and misplaced blame for your immigration issues.

Can't you find anything good to say about him?
ladycae · 100+, F
i'm sorry grace, i read this:

OggggO: You're right. However, there are others who swear otherwise, and that she's gotten away with murder and cover-ups with pay-offs. I don't know, but I bet our hair would stand on end if we really knew the truth... on both!

which is what i based my answer on. if you meant something else i misread you then, but you still seem to be basing your info on rumors from other people since you stated "However, there are others who swear otherwise, and that she's gotten away with murder and cover-ups with pay-offs." find out the facts yourself rather then basing anything on what others say. niether trump nor hillary is as bad as people make them out to be.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Grace2016
Except your accusations against Hillary are completely unfounded. I by no means like her, but she's not a massive liar, and there is no fraud or murder to her name.
ladycae · 100+, F
@kinray, i sincerely believe that trump is also owned by special interest groups. he has superpacs that support him and that is usually where the special interest group come in. the fact that he won't reveal his bundlers or any other documents about himself makes me wonder what he is hiding. at a time when we need more transparency government he stays as hidden as possible about himself. we really do not know the real trump. i hope there is more to him than his campaign persona. Don't think because he says that he is a multi millionaire that he is paying his own way. he is rich on paper but cash poor.
Gerrywell · 56-60, M
Again on Trump - a foreigners view.

I can understand that he is explaining the pain of a whole class of Americans. I can get that many Americans think Hillary Clinton's policies will not help them and that is reasonable. What, I as a foreigner, cannot get is:

1 Why would you look to a billionaire businessman to get you out of this? Surely they are the ones who caused it?

2. People loved Bill but hate Hillary. Are they not the same camp?

3. Why is everybody getting soo bent out of shape by her screwing up a few emails. This probably happens all the time. Really people?

4. Why is Trump alienating people when he does not have to? Why is he saying the election is rigged? It looks like he is not really that interested?

I would love to know what people think.

I'm not referring to media ... Just saying I'm referring to the words that come directly from trumps big orange mouth
ladycae · 100+, F
nope because i read those stories as well. my mind was changed by all the anti-hillary bs i have seen posted here. when i ask for cites no one can produce them. if you can't cite it it is bs. if being a trump supporter means i have to post unsubstantiated rumors, innuendos and out and out lies than i will ever support trump.
ladycae · 100+, F
i do feel sorry for her she must live in fear.
Kimnray · 46-50, C
@ladycae. I appreciate your response. I feel like we have a tough choice ahead, and you may or may not be right about Trump. His tax statements aren't a concern for me, as I am far to cynical to believe that we've seen a truthful statement from either side in many years. I'm not interested in telling anyone who to vote for. I'd be more comfortable with Bill than Hillary. Bill was a moderate by today's standards, and seemed to work with the conservatives pretty well. What he lacked in discretion, he made up for with charm and like ability. I don't see any of these qualities in Hillary. I don't like her tax policy. I don't like Obamacare, my personal health care sky rocketed due to his help. I see more of the same with her. I'd advise everyone to vote their conscious and agree to be civil. God help us all lol
I was a Bernie Sanders supporter and only lukewarm about Hillary initially, although I admit I was never going to vote for Trump. But seeing how hateful Trump & his supporters are and the LIES that Trump is willing to tell, the blatant falsehoods his supporters have swallowed hook, line and sinker, I've become a lot more active in helping the Clinton campaign in my city. There are many more of us around here who'll be going all out as we get closer to the election, to help save this country from Trump and his bigots.

There are people who swear that the earth is flat, that we never went to the moon, that vaccines cause autism, and that the Illuminate NWO runs the world behind the scenes. What people will swear is worthless, because people will swear anything. Evidence is what matters.
ladycae · 100+, F
'you are entitled to your opinion i just don't happen to share it. but thank you for your courtesy in how you addressed the issue
ladycae · 100+, F
@gunsmoke do you have a cite for this? no cite and it's just rumor and insinution. a list of what countries and what favors?
ladycae · 100+, F
since you mention behind the scenes stuff etc. what exactly do you do to know these things grace?
SW-User
People need to do their research on this and not just go with here say and rumors before making a decsion ...
ladycae · 100+, F
grace do you just believe what other people say or do you think for yourself and research to uncover the truth no matter what it is? you posted a lot of mistruths about hrc and then admitted they were wrong, they were just what you heard other's saying. that is not wisest way to choose a president. and to declare some one a liar so deep she should be buried in china, a murderer and just like Hitler based on nothing but what others have said is grossly unfair. would you like it if others judged you that way?

Start reading what mainstream news outlets who call each candidate out equally for their faults. start to form your own opinions based on fact not rumor. i particularly like the washington post because it is an equal candidate basher and uplifter. make an informed choice no matter who you support. the country and you will be better off for it.
Clemency · 36-40, F
Hillary’s detractors on the right, left and center reel off a laundry list of unsupported accusations with an air of absolute authority, as though it is simply a given that she is a terrible, horrible, no-good human being. And that is precisely the intention: Taint her through innuendo and guilt-by-association, throw enough dirt at her that voters develop an instant negative association with her name.
ladycae · 100+, F
Obama as deported more illegals than the last 10 presidents combined. and that so called ransom was a payment on a debt going all the way back to when the shah was deposed. kenedy was not the presidents that had the hostages freed on his first day in office, it was regan who made that deal with iran. i know you are two young to have lived trough this but a little research will make you stop posting errors and start posting facts which will make you appear more intelligent.

It's called the Burden of Proof. When making a claim, you either back it up, or the claim is worthless.

@Grace2016?
Dead? No, I just want you to either substantiate your claims or retract them.

Following media for truths is not a good idea.
OggggO · 36-40, M
Oh, she sent me the same message.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
There are sites that lie about Trump. If you go to those sites will you then be a Trump supporter?
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Grace2016
Trump has far more similarities to Hitler than Hillary. He's the one running on an empty and dishonest platform of populist nationalism and xenophobia. He's the one indulging in violent insinuations and claims of minorities and foreigners weakening the nation. For fuck's sake, he's the one that got endorsed by the American Nazi Party.
Charlotte · 70-79, F
I won't retract them. Everyone deserves an opinion, and I don't give out my private resources. If you don't want to believe me, don't. That's your prerogative. I don't have to prove myself to anyone. We're not here to nitpick or point fingers. Shouldn't be, anyway.
FallenxShane · 22-25, M
Gerrywell, we are no longer the richest country in the world, our trillion dollar debt is growing even more, Obama may have done some good things, I will admit that, but he is trying to protect illegal immigrants from deportation, and give them social security. No country fears us anymore, Obama sent a ransom to Iran to release our prisoners for crying out loud, when Kennedy went into office, hostages were released from Iran the DAY he was made president, we aren't the superpower anymore, China is
ladycae · 100+, F
i have never said there is a special place in hell for woman who don't vote for clinton, stop putting words in my mouth. i am not under 38 and i am no longer answering you because you ignore my cites so i am doing the same for you and what i want is clinton in the white house. i am entitled to my opinion and my vote. if you don't like it too bad. you just want an argument and i refuse to give you one.

Hillary For Prison 2016
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@lore, check out the millions and millions of dollars that went to the Clinton foundation, and the favors these countries received. Her doing.
Kimnray · 46-50, C
@Gerrywell The fact that Trump is a billionaire/outsider is one of the few upsides honestly. Too many politicians are essentially owned by special interest groups.
Charlotte · 70-79, F
ladycae....Just because I hear others make claims or swear by them, does not mean I believe them. That would be pure foolishness. I was raised better that that. Just like the news. We can't believe anything we hear. It's meant for sensationalism. I've always thought for myself. Made it on my own. Without anyone's help. For the record, I base my information always on research and study. I pride myself on getting detailed facts, examining the pros and cons, and making informed decisions. I'm sure I didn't make myself clear in my posts. Thanks for pointing that out. No harm done. No offense taken.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Grace2016
And what facts do you base this on?
"but nothing compares to the very long list of dirt, cover-ups, fraud, lies, even murder, you name it, on Hillary"
ladycae · 100+, F
that was while he was in office, the deal to release the hostages was made before he was in office.
Charlotte · 70-79, F
It's called confidentiality. Doesn't mean it's worthless. I never betray a trust. End of discussion.
Gerrywell · 56-60, M
Whither Donald Trump now....
What is going on in US politics - it is all so confusing and worrying.
Charlotte · 70-79, F
OggggO..... No doubt that's pretty obvious.
Charlotte · 70-79, F
We're not exactly Trump "lovers"... We just choose him over pure evil. We can all agree to disagree respectfully, though.
Exactly how is it you refute the many, many lies she has told? I'm not a Trump supporter either.
jackjjackson · 70-79, M
They don't. They change the subject.
