What Do You Think The World Will Be Like In The 2020s

Politically and economically, not physically.

Will the rise of Populism across the EU, the influence of President Trump, the so-called meddling of Russia in International Affairs plus increasing isolationism of people (i.e. 'I disagree with you/I dislike you so I will block you/I'm offended and triggered') mean that we are heading for a difficult decade to come?

I think it will be a hard decade around the world. Nationalism is likely to continue to rear its ugly head like it did in the 1930s. The average person will be less well off than they are today due to continuing stratification of income. Continuing climate change impacts will become more noticeable and severe, resulting in the displacement of millions of people globally. I believe it will be a difficult period, but that it is something that will eventually improve. Humans seem to have a tendency to do too little to address a problem until it is a huge problem, then rise to the occasion. The 2020s will be when existing problems become increasingly severe.
