He will willingly alienate or offend groups for the amusement of others. It's like if your boss came into work and said, "Man...Puck's family, bunch of murderers and rapists. Some are good I guess. Sometimes I grab the girls by the pussy."
If you're boss seriously said something like that about you and your family, you'd probably be pretty pissed off about it, or elsewise devoid of pride or affection for your family and yourself.

Those who he correctly skewers and he does it well try to avoid their shame by taking it out on others. @puck61

@TexChik Private locker room conversations are still indicative of a person's character. If someone in a locker room said to a only a few other people, "Fuck Texans, dumbest lot of fat, worthless, scum of the Earth satanists that ever breathed. Only thing they're good for it raping or fertilizing fields with." You'd certainly take offense, yes? While what Trump said is not so extreme as this example, it proves a point. In fact, perhaps things said secretly are even MORE indicative of character, no?

@revenant Don't resort to two wrongs make a right. Just because something is common doesn't mean it should be acceptable. Prescription opioid abuse is rampant, with some souther states actually having more prescriptions for opioids than people living in them. Should we just excuse it because it's common? And the answer to your second question is a lot of people. You're pretending not to know even though you do, because you think feigning ignorance is a valid defense.
