Why do you think President Trump has affected general social ideological polarity so much as opposed to other presidents?

Well, Trump was a result of a populist backlash against the status quo in the west that has been building everywhere. Stuff like Brexit was happening before he got in.

But he's still influential and it's because he's a complete change from the status quo politics of the west. If he was just an establishment GOP candidate he'd just be enforcing politics that are already there.
