If you like guns buy one. If you dont like them dont buy one

Either way know what you are talking about. An AR-15 is NOT used by the military. It is a fun gun to shoot though

how about those who don't like them yet bought one? me
Graylight · 51-55, F
@akindheart Why would you do that?
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Graylight i live in an area that has become increasingly dangerous. i will protect myself. i have my concealed weapon permit too. but i am not quite comfortable shooting the gun.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@akindheart Gotcha. But you do know that statistically, you're far more likely to be killed with that gun than to kill another, right? Not judging, not dictating, just offering information.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Graylight it doesn't matter the stats. i want to have the ability to protect myself period. there is always the element of surprise on the aggressor that i can't control.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@akindheart I get it. But you're not defending yourself and probably won't surprise the aggressor, so say the facts. Everyone thinks they can handle a gun. That's why there are thousands of deaths a year.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Graylight i just need some training. that is it. i am not going to be a sitting duck.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@akindheart most people I know can't cause a crumpled piece of paper into a garbage can with accuracy. Men - and women for that matter- can't even hit the toilet seat with anything like accuracy. Gun training that's less than once a week and includes live scenarios and not just targets is a placebo. Training is false security.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Graylight i guess i could get a bazooka. might hit more accurately but i can handle my Ruger LCP
Graylight · 51-55, F
@akindheart Or I have another idea. There are many non-lethal methods of defense just as accurate as a bullet. If you choose to have a gun, that is your right. I just wonder if it wouldn't be safer without one.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Graylight the answer is yes until i learn to use it. i am not safe with a gun yet.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@akindheart Well, good luck and good shooting. I hope you never have to use it but that it hits its mark if you do.
