"European colonisers brought diseases to the Americas which contributed to the Native American genocide!"

But point out that immigration to Europe brings diseases and you're a racist.

@NickiHijab TB to start with.

"In just under half of the high-income OECD countries foreign-born TB cases increased. Consequently foreign-born individuals, in 2013, made up over half of all TB cases (median 52.0 %; IQR 31.4–73.9 %; with incidence rates 8.7-18.4 times that seen in the local-born population" (ncbi.nlm.nih.org, 3/16, US National Library of Medicine)

@pianoplayingsteve It took you almost half an hour to answer this and from a US website too? I didn't realise the US was European too. Plus OECD countries refer to a global span of countries in more than one continent so clearly you didn't look much into your source🤔
"In just under half of the high income".. meaning not even half of the countries that make up the OCED are affected by it? Lol.. kden

@NickiHijab Because 1. I'm cooking 2. Getting myself ready for going out 3. Replying to other people on this thread and other social media. But yeah, the time it takes affects facts, yeah. "Consequently foreign-born individuals, in 2013, made up over half of all TB cases (median 52.0 %; IQR 31.4–73.9 %; with incidence rates 8.7-18.4 times that seen in the local-born population". HALF. Not 10%, or even 20%. I'm sure if someone had a disease and there was a 50% chance of you getting it you'd be a little cautious about letting them and a large number of their friends that also have it, into your house.

@pianoplayingsteve That statistic is referring to countries beyond Europe too, obviously it's gonna be over half if you're talking globally?

Also, side note.. Both statistics you posted contradict one another, considering one is claiming the case of TB to be over half and the other claiming to be just under half.
Anyone can bust out some bogus numbers. Numbers which you clearly didn't have before making such a bold statement.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@NickiHijab Oh and how do you know so clearly the timestamps in which I find information? Also, on a side note, no I didn't contradict myself.
NickiHijab · F
@pianoplayingsteve because anyone who would make a statement of such would clearly back it up with evidence which you didn't when you initially posted it.

Additional side note: Except you did. Lol
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@NickiHijab That's because I didn't intend to make an argument either way, I was just pointing out what I believed to be a double standard.

Okay, what's my contradiction?
