@Northwest Washington has a few top notch guys for sure. I would love to see Jeff Bezos debate Trump. Two billionaires talking about the economy and other stuff.

I was actually talking about those who made the transition from business (Microsoft, RealNetworks), one Senator, one Congresswoman, and multiple State senators and house members. They have been changing the way things are done.

He made a successful transition from the world of cutthroat business, to redefining philanthropy. The foundation saved 5 million lives, that would be 50% of the 10 million kids who were going to die, if the life saving vaccine had not been developed and delivered by the foundation.
This IS making a real difference. The foundation's newsletter, indicates that they have major disagreements with the current President, but they need to find a way to work with him. They champion Social Justice, a side effect of Melinda's Jesuit background. This is something the alt-right is allergic to.
They're always looking for volunteers. The other major influencer, is Warren Buffett.

@SimplyTracie No, he's from Omaha. His son is also great. An additional focus of Buffett/Gates, is to accelerate the design of a new family of "clean" nuke plants, as a way to decrease pollution, and provide enough electrical power to replace gasoline and natural gas, for home, industrial and cars. The company they set up for that purpose, is in Washington.
