Tumbleweed?

Assured by their collective delusions, the trumpettes have rallied round the battle cry:

They “knew” that the four page (actually, it’s not even three and a half pages long) memo, authored by Devin Nunes, would both exonerate the great orange one and, would show how biased those lefties at the FBI really are.

Well, on 2nd February 2018 the full, unredacted and declassified memo was released. And what have we got from the trumpettes?

Here’s another pic of tumbleweed caught on the orange morons Mexican border wall.

There are two elements to this whole issue that are so self-evident, that it baffles me that idiots like Nunes and the rest of the trumpettes don’t get it.

First, we know that Russia interfered with the U.S. Presidential Election. What was it, seventeen? Yeah, seventeen U.S. intelligence agencies have confirmed that this happened. The Russians have done, or attempted to do, the same thing here in Europe. But, the difference is, here in Europe, every political party (that is not pro-Russia) is doing what they can to ensure that they fail.

However, in America, most politicians have tied themselves up in Republican vs. Democrat knots. James Comey is a Republican. Robert Mueller is a Republican. Rod Rosenstein is a Republican. In fact, the vast majority of law enforcement officers and intelligence agents are Republicans.

The Russians are screwing with your democratic process and you’re squabbling amongst yourselves like kindergarden kids in the playground. Actually, kindergardeners don’t squabble as much.

Second, all trump needs to do is open himself, and his associates, up to full and proper scrutiny so that the American people can see that he did not collude with the Russians. However, he’s so mired in dodgy dealings that he instead chooses to attack the media and the intelligence community. And that’s me being generous by assuming that he didn’t collude with the Russians. NOT a safe assumption by any standard.

And now, the Republicans in Congress are refusing to allow the Democrats to release their own memo which rebuts the piece of crap nonsense that Nunes signed his name to. And he’s admitted that he never even read the FISA applications which he says were bogus. But the man who DID read all of the material, Republican Trey Gowdy, has said:

"There is a Russia investigation without a dossier,"

"To the extent the memo deals with the dossier and the FISA process, the dossier has nothing to do with the meeting at Trump Tower,”

“The dossier has nothing to do with an email sent by Cambridge Analytica. The dossier really has nothing to do with George Papadopoulos' meeting in Great Britain. It also doesn't have anything to do with obstruction of justice."

Jeez! Can these people be any more stupid!

SHOCKER! The orange moron has refused to release the Democrat rebuttal memo. And, the third highest ranking member of the DOJ, Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand, has quit her job.

Has the stench of obstruction reached your nostrils yet?

@room101 Of course he didn't release the memo. He'd worked it out with Nunes, his lackey, well beforehand. That way, the committee can appear to be fair to both sides, knowing that there is no way the Democratic memo will come out. It is all part of the plan to obstruct and deflect. And the closer the investigation gets to trump, the worse it is going to get with trump, comrade Nunes, and his comrade Republicans.

@windinhishair Unfortunately for America, and the rest of the world, you're spot on.

Ahhh, the irony. The tumbleweed (Salsola sp.) of the American West is a non-native invasive species from.........Russia! It also goes by the name Russian Thistle.

@room101 When I read your post, I thought it was hilarious to see the Russian Thistle blowing across the field and into the wall. So appropriate! The tumbleweed is such an iconic American symbol that not many people realize it is a Russian immigrant in the past couple hundred years.

@windinhishair I really wish that I could say that I knew that. The truth is, it's a phrase that my friends and I often use in conversations and discussions.

You say something or ask a question or whatever and get nothing back from the others. There then follows various forms of body language, gestures, tones of voice etc and the word:

tumbleweed!
