The problem is that people only remember the good things about the 1950s, but conveniently forget the rest. We could never go back to that time, nor should we.

@windinhishair If they remember the Economic boom of the 1950s they should remember that Ike had the Top Tax rate at 90%. We Heavily taxed the rich and built massive infrastructure projects that connected the entire country via the interstate highway system.

@PDXNative1986 That is correct. People forget the high tax rate was that high. And we had balanced budgets on the federal level while building significant infrastructure like the interstate highway system.
