Why is President Trump so unpopular ?

President Donald Trump is the most unpopular president , and it's not even a close fight.

Presidents generally have had an average approval rating of 53 percent since 1938 to 2018, according to historical comparisons compiled this week by Gallup. But Trump's approval rating dropped to 37 percent this week, down from 39 percent in December.

Trump is the least popular president in modern history, according to FiveThirtyEight. "Trump’s early-term unpopularity is unusual. In the decades since World War II, the average first-term president before Trump had an approval rating of 62 percent on his 175th day in office," the site wrote in July, when Trump's approval rating was 39 percent.

It’s probably a combination of the things Trump clearly stands for (racism and xenophobia) and his lack of professionalism (name-calling, bragging and never taking personal responsibility, always blaming others).

@bijouxbroussard Apart from the 30% or so who support him no matter what , it's clear to the rest that this man is totally unsuited and unfit for office. He has debased politics to such an extent that those self-proclaimed guardians of virtue (i.e. the conservative christian right) are now ridiculed for their hypocrisy and their total slavishness to this morally bankrupt individual. He taints and corrupts all of those around him and he has demeaned the US in the eyes of the world to such an extent that it's hard to see a quick path to recovery. On top of all that he is blatantly using the office of POTUS for the financial gain of himself and his family and is most certainly a crook and most likely a traitor. This aberration cannot end soon enough.
