I'm proud of the Democrats tonight

CBS News did a poll the other day. Margin of error was 3%.

According to the survey, almost 9 in 10 respondents — 87 percent — said they believe that the so-called Dreamers should be allowed to remain in the U.S. if they meet certain requirements, such as working or going to school.

87%.

For the first time in U.S. history there's a government shutdown when one party has controlled the House, Senate and White House. And they're shutting it down, in large part, over something 87% of the people want.

The Democrats, and some Republicans, are fighting for something the people want. They're showing some balls. A good day for America. Hope the GOP decides to turn the lights back on. It's all up to them.

They're about to vote, but something's up, because they haven't started voting yet. The GOP, for 8 years, did not relent, and obstructed. It's not about payback, it's about not giving up on that the people want, as you say.

The GOP is going to need about 15 Democrats, because they can't get all the GOP senators on board.
