Yes, there is! I try to treat all people with the humanity and humility that I expect for myself.
It really irritates me when someone, acting or speaking on behalf of my country, does not act in the same manner - especially when speaking publicly in his official capacity as president, such as in the meeting with the senators.
And, political agreement or not does not play a role in my support or my condemnation. Politically, I often agreed with President Clinton, but it disgusted me that he used his position of power to coerce a young, naive intern into having a sexual relationships with him. Because of the power he had in that relationship, it could be fairly said that President Clinton raped Monica Lreinsky! I said that then, and I say it now.
And, Hillary was nothing more than an enabler of that rape! Thus, there was no way in hell that I could vote for her for president.
And, because of his racist, sexist statements, I could also not vote for Trump for president.
I was a big supporter of Bernie Sanders' candidacy. However, since he was not on the ballot in November, I left that spot open on my ballot - for the first time ever since I cast my first vote for Richard Nixon - which vote I regretted a year later - in 1972.
I do not want President Trump to trumpet his racism and ethnic prejudices when speaking for our nation - and on my and your behalf.
Hope that explains my anger.
