Wouldn't you agree that democracy is a popularity contest?

There's a tough talking and witty senator I believe could make a good leader for my country; the problem is she's gay, female and half Asian. Hell would probably freeze over twice before she's ever elected as Prime Minister.

to some degree yes, but to intelligent people willing to put in a little time on research it is about so much more, then you have those who don't like hillary because of her looks or like trump simply because he speaks to their fears.
