Manafort was a Russian agent negotiating with the Russian government--on inaugeration day (plus all along)---taking payoffs in exchange for promising the Russians he could get Trump to change international sanctions against them. He failed to report to the U.S. government he was a Russian agent---involving himself in the midst of a national election---collaborating with Russia----and then he hid his pay off money--$18 million of it from the U.S. treasury. Let me guess????????? If Obama had of done that would it be............treason?..........felony tax evasion?? I bet it would be, huh? ;-) But to you a Communist agent trying to change U.S. policy by subverting a national election---not claiming he was a Russian agent--and then trying to hide the payoff money from the IRS is just "minor infractions"?? I love how you call the charges "very minor infractions". The "minor infractions" of Manafort include conspiracy against the United States, conspiracy to launder money, failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts, being an unregistered agent of foreign principal, false and misleading FARA statements, and false statements. He could get up to 80 years in jail if convicted on all charges. It is much more likely he will get 10-12 years but I wouldn't call them minor infractions. @Sniper

@anythingoes477 I suggest you read the indictments, unless you're afraid you're wrong. It's probably a little above your reading level but I think you can manage to get the gist. It will prove those indictments have nothing to do with Russia or trump. As for hitlery and oblamo, they haven't been indicted yet because the real investigations are just beginning. You really cant go by that other one since the conclusion was written before the "investigation". But even so, I do not expect either to be indicted, both will be given a great latitude for their crimes but they will be exposed and you no longer will be able to deny their crimes. Well, you can but everyone will be laughing at your stupidity when you do.

@anythingoes477 If you read the indictment then you are aware it has nothing to do with Russia or the trump campaign. It has to do with manafort's work on behalf of a Russian company's interest in Ukraine back in 2012. Not even close to anything to do with trump or Russia's alleged interference in the election. Further, his hiding money is the action referred to as against the US. I don't read trash news, so stuff your nyt, I read the actual indictment. It's online for anyone to read and I always find the actual documents provide better information than left wing know nothing reporters who are trying to pass off their fantasies as information. It's also why i can always out debate you lefties.

The call he made to Russia was taped---all phone calls to communist countries are--by anyone. I know because i worked in the IC for years....NSA. The one promising he'd be instumental in geting Rump to drop sanctions was made at 11:14 EST---during the Inaugeration of Capt Wonderful. Be kinda hard to say Rump was inaugerated in 2012, wouldn't it? Your homemade "facts" are just that.

I have been living off savings for 11 years but will have to start taking out of my 401 and that means paying taxes. I will be paying half the taxes i expected to. i like that. I like the fact that trump nominated a good solid justice for the court. I like the fact that trump has and will continue to renegotiate trade deals, although i don't work, I still want others to have better jobs, or have a job period. i like the fact that trump has put others on notice that they will have to pay their fair share, the US should not be everyone's defense. Time to put Americans first and others second. I like the fact that trump does well on foreign policy, I can't think of anything he's done that even made me question it. I do not give a rat's ass if others are told to despise him because he's not allowing them to take advantage of us anymore.
