Checking for illegals. Thoughts?
I'm good with it.

Raided 98 7/11s nationwide, netted 21 possible illegals. I would have guessed more. With all the law enforcement activity, where will my neighborhood kids go for drugs, after school hours? I guess they will have to limit their purchases to school.

A tempest in a teapot. 7/11 is not where you're going to find large numbers of illegals. That would be in the agricultural business, but farmers voted for Trump, so he's not going to upset that demographic.
@Northwest They can wake up at day break and go to any day labor company in any city and find thousands of illegals getting ready for work. But that’ll never happen because they know the cost of getting rid of illegals...

@Notmesam Of course. Instead of having a massive force, coordinate a nationwide raid on 7/11, they can have two people in a van, drive around Home Depot and Lowes parking lots, and pick up thousands.

The fact is that the illegals are a net positive economically, because they are doing the jobs we're not. Trump's enigma (and those think like him), is how to keep the brown people working for low wages, but not allow them to have kids, who will be American. Castration if they can get away with it?
@Northwest I’m in south Florida. I drive by a labor company everyday. There are lines of vans and trucks picking illegals up for work everyday. Some for the Ag industry other for construction or landscaping. Everyday! It’s all b/s and they’re trying to sell it to us.

@Notmesam I really feel bad for these folks. The "welfare" the right wing talks about, does not exist. If they don't work for a living, they will starve, and they're doing the jobs we don't want to do! Are we callous, to the point of telling them that it's OK to be our slaves, but they can't have a seat at the table?

I understand that uncontrolled immigration can be a problem, but making it about "whites are OK, browns are not", is not a solution either.

Largely though, this is regulated by supply and demand. If they can't find jobs, they will not come, and this happened when we had our financial meltdown.
@Northwest I’m not sure what the solution is but demonizing undocumented workers isn’t it. My parents were illegal and took advantage of Reagan’s amnesty in then 80s. I remember the day they became legal, my dad took us out to eat and they booked flights to go se their folks right away since they hadn’t been able to leave the country. Not long after he started his own business. They became citizens in 2000....

@Notmesam just drive past my local Home Depot at 7am....there's about 100 of them right there.
